Mable House Arts Center Hosts Classes for Child Actors
The Mable House Arts Center is offering two nine-week classes for little actors, who will then perform in a production of "Charlie Brown's Christmas" later this year.

Two nine week acting classes are being offered at Mable House Arts Center Sept. 24-Nov. 12.
One class, "Original Performance-Shinbuster,s" is available for ages 5-7 and is designed especially for younger actors. Students will learn and perform "Charlie Brown's Christmas" at the end of the course for family and friends. The class will be held on Saturdays from 10 to 11 a.m.
"Theatre Basics-Limelights" is another class, which is available for ages 8-10 and helps children become comfortable on stage. Participants will learn simple improv games, developing characters and learning guidelines to make their performances more professional. Students in this class will also learn and perform "Charlie Brown's Christmas" for friends and family at the end of the session. The class will be held on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to noon.

The fee for each class is $80 for residents and $105 for non-residents, with a $5 supply fee. The instructor for both classes will be Tom Milley, a graduate of Asbury University in Kentucky. He has been involved in local community theatre for 17 years and was the recipient of the first Cobb County Ovation Award for Actor of the Year in 2009.
