South Cobb Redevelopment Authority Board Meeting Announced
Cobb Commissioner Candidate Shelia Edwards is in our community, doing the work of our community.

The South Cobb Redevelopment Authority announced that it will hold its annual board meeting on Monday, January 27, 2020 at the Mable House. On the agenda is a presentation from the Bleakly Group, who was selected last year to conduct a market study on the Six Flags Special Service District. This study, which cost $40 thousand dollars, was to include Magnolia Crossing, a 50 acre parcel of prime real estate that has sat dormant for over 5 years in our community.
Dissatisfied with the lack of development of this property, as well as other areas within South Cobb, community advocates have come together to demand that the SCRA Board, as well as the Board of Commissioners, take the action needed to develop this land.

Slow progress angers south Cobb residents
Included on my 2020 Wish List for South Cobb, that was presented to the Board of Commissioners at their first meeting of the year, was the development of Magnolia Crossing.

I will continue to advocate on this issue for the community and demand the development of this property that should be a developer’s dream. The property sits on 50 acres, provides easy access to downtown and the airport, and has a wonderful view of the Atlanta skyline.
I will continue to be the eyes and ears for our community on this issue, as well as others, that impact our quality of life.
I am in our community, doing the work of our community.
