Thank You District 4 - For Exercising Your Rights to Vote
I Am Very Proud of my Community for Standing in Long Lines, the Scotching Heat, and Rain and Thunderstorms to Vote.
I want to extend a special thanks to my community of District 4 for exercising your rights to vote during this Primary Election season. Many of you mailed in your absentee ballots, while some voted during the weeks of early voting, and others came out on yesterday - each of you wanting to make sure that your votes were counted. I am very proud of my community.
On yesterday, I watched as members of our community stood in lines that wrapped around the Lions Club and down the nearby road. You were not deterred by the long wait times or the rain and thunderstorms that rolled in. I also watched last week as voters came out in the scorching heat to cast ballots at the Epicenter. We sent a powerful message and I urge each of us to continue to be the change that we want occurring in our community. The first step is voting.
I also want to thank each of my fellow candidates in the District 4 Commission race. I commend each of you for your willingness to serve our community and I welcome the opportunity to work with you going forward.
