Missing Gwinnett 4-Year-Old ID'd After Body Pulled From Yellow River
Gwinnett fire personnel identified the boy Monday, according to a media report.
STONE MOUNTAIN, GA — A missing 4-year-old boy whose body was pulled Sunday from Yellow River Park has been identified by fire personnel as Nasir Mitchell, Atlanta News First reported.
Emergency personnel found the child shortly after 10:30 a.m. after he disappeared beneath the surface of the river around 5:30 p.m. Saturday in the 3000 block of Juhan Road Southwest at Yellow River Park in Stone Mountain.
The child’s mother told firefighters she was near the river with her son but he went missing, according to authorities, who added she then saw the boy briefly before he disappeared under the water. The Gwinnett County Medical Examiner’s Office is investigating.
