• THS volleyball cruises to Region Title; to host first round of State (timesenterprise.com) — Thomasville High's Lady Bulldogs volleyball team has swept their region with a 9-0 record and will host the first round of the state playoffs at home on Saturday, Oct. 17. Coach Jackie King credits strong teamwork and a tight-knit senior class that's grown with the program since middle school. The team closes regular-season play this week before learning its playoff opponent on Oct. 13.
   

• Allen-Cook VFW Post 4995 receives national All-American recognition (timesenterprise.com) — Thomasville's Allen-Cook VFW Post 4995 has earned the national Commander-in-Chief's All-American Award after surpassing membership and service goals, highlighting strong community involvement across Thomasville and Thomas County. Former commander Eddie Brown, Sr., the post's first African American leader, credits the entire membership and notes growing leadership roles for women. Eligible local combat veterans are invited to attend the post's monthly Saturday morning meetings to get involved.
