• 320 New Jobs Less Than an Hour From Columbus: Hyundai Transys Is Building a Third Plant in West Point (columbustimes.com) — Hyundai Transys is investing nearly $560 million to expand its powertrain operations on Kia Parkway in West Point, adding a third plant and 320 new jobs to the existing 1,250-person workforce. Local and state leaders say the project, focused on hybrid-vehicle transmissions, secures current positions while creating new production, supervisory, and administrative openings within commuting distance for many area residents.
