Armed Robbery Reported at Cherokee County Store

The unidentified male entered the Citgo station, brandished a weapon and left with undisclosed amount of money.

WOODSTOCK, GA -- Detectives with the Cherokee Sheriff's Office are looking for a man accused of brandishing a firearm and robbing a convenience store.

According to police, an "unidentified white male" walked into the Citgo station at 6080 Highway 92 near Acworth around 1:34 p.m. Jan. 10, brandished a firearm and left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The man is described as wearing a dark green sweater with a hoodie, light-colored sunglasses and dark pants.

Police note he fled on foot and was last seen going south on Wade Green Road.

This latest report of an armed robbery follows an attempted robbery reported Dec. 26 at the Texaco station at 5634 Bells Ferry Road. During that incident, the sheriff's office said the man was wielding a sharp object, and was unsuccessful in his attempt to obtain any cash or property.
