Cherokee's Fire Station 24 Reopens Following Car Crash

WOODSTOCK, GA — Operations at Fire Station 24 in Cherokee County have returned to normal, Lt. Michael Sims of Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services said Tuesday.

The station was briefly shut down after a car crashed into the River Park building Sunday, hitting a transformer and a backup generator.

Power has since been restored at the station, Sims said.
