Family Of Woodstock Man Found Dead To Host Candlelight Vigil

The family of Kenneth Boland wants to thank the community for its support during this difficult time.

WOODSTOCK, GA -- The family of a man who was found deceased in Woodstock will hold a candlelight vigil to show the community their gratitude for sticking by them during this heartbreaking time.

The vigil to honor 82-year-old Kenneth Boland will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20 at the gazebo in the Park at City Center in downtown Woodstock.

City on a Hill United Methodist Church's newsletter blast said Boland's family will hold the vigil as "they express their heartfelt gratitude towards the community for their efforts during the hours following Kenneth’s disappearance."

Allen McMullen, director of worship and communications at the church, said funeral arrangements for Boland are still being arranged.

Boland's body was found Monday, Oct. 17 near Olde Rope Mill Park in Woodstock just days after his family reported him missing.
