Teachers Recognized For Aiding Student Injured During Stabbing
Three Woodstock teachers came to the aid of a student who was stabbed in the neck in May by another pupil.
WOODSTOCK, GA -- Three teachers at Woodstock High School were honored by the Cherokee Sheriff's Office for their response to a school emergency where a student allegedly attacked another.
Sheriff Frank Reynolds recognized Laura Antonelli, Heather Bolt and Chandler Wall at the county Board of Commissioners’ meeting Tuesday night in Canton.
The teachers received a medal and certificate in appreciation of their response to help a student who was injured by another student in May.

“Our teachers care deeply for our students, and their quick and calm response to ensure this child's injury was immediately addressed shows that care,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Brian Hightower who attended the event with some of his senior staff and School Board Chair Kyla Cromer. “We appreciate our partnership with the Sheriff’s Office and his recognition of these outstanding educators.”
