Weather Update: How Much Snow Will Fall on Woodstock, and When?

The Woodstock area is preparing for a significant accumulation of snowfall this evening and overnight.

A winter storm warning is in effect until 10 a.m. Thursday.

Here’s the latest forecast from the National Weather Service:

• Wednesday: Rain likely before 4pm, then rain and snow. High near 39. Calm wind. Chance of precipitation is 90%. Total daytime snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
• Wednesday Night: Snow, mainly before 2am. The snow could be heavy at times. Patchy fog after 8pm. Low around 30. East wind around 5 mph becoming north after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.
• Thursday: A 10 percent chance of snow before 7am. Patchy fog before 10am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 43. Calm wind becoming northwest around 5 mph in the afternoon.
