Drivers heading into Honolulu are urged to use extra caution near the tunnels as police continue managing hazardous conditions and clearing the scene.

Man turns himself in after allegedly shooting another man in chest in Ewa Beach (kitv.com) — A 33-year-old man is in custody after allegedly shooting another man in the chest during an altercation on Papipi Road in Ewa Beach, then later turning himself in at Honolulu's main police station. Honolulu police say the 31-year-old victim was rushed from Queen's West Oahu to Queen's Punchbowl in serious condition, and prosecutors will now review the case for formal charges.

Police say deadly Hawaii Island shooting started with a reported theft (hawaiinewsnow.com) — Hawaii County police say a reported sunglasses theft in Ocean View escalated into a deadly confrontation in rough lava terrain, where an officer fatally shot a 31-year-old Kaʻū man who allegedly threatened to kill him and threw large rocks. Officials note the man was already a wanted fugitive for missing sentencing in a Honolulu sex assault case, and bodycam footage and an autopsy are pending.
