ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The following information comes from the Arlington Heights Police Department and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

Every person arrested is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

ARRESTS

DRIVING ON A SUSPENDED/REVOKED LICENSE

  • Carlos R. Alburez, 50, is accused of driving on a suspended/revoked driver's license, and was arrested at 12:26 p.m. March 27, at N. Ridge Avenue and W. Campbell Street. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of April 19 was assigned.
  • Martrece Kani Raymond Smith, 20, is accused of driving on a suspended license, operating a motor vehicle when registration was suspended, and was arrested at 10:15 p.m. March 30, at W. Dundee Road and N. Ridge Avenue. Bond was set at $2,500 and a court date of April 26 was assigned.

DOMESTIC BATTERY

  • Tumurbaatar Baasanjav, 45, is accused of domestic battery, and was arrested at 3:20 a.m. March 27, in Arlington Heights. Bond was set at $10,000 and a court date of April 18 was assigned.
  • Santhosh Padmanabha Kurup, 60, is accused of domestic battery, and was arrested at 8 a.m. March 25, in Arlington Heights. Bond was set at $10,000 and a court date of April 18 was assigned.
  • Robert M. Stolzman, 36, is accused of domestic battery, and was arrested at 5:32 a.m. March 29, in Arlington Heights. Bond was set at $10,000 and a court date of April 20 was assigned.

Samantha R. Fiore, 19, is accused of driving under the influence of drugs, resisting a peace officer, and was arrested at 9:25 a.m. March 26, at Motel 6, 400 block of W. Algonquin Road. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of April 13 was assigned.

POSSESSION OF A CONCEALED FIREARM

Randel R. Jaeger, 66, is accused of possession of a concealed firearm in a prohibited area, and was arrested at 7:29 p.m. March 29, in the lobby of the Arlington Heights Police Department, 1500 block of N. Arlington Heights Road. Bond was set at $100 and a court date of April 13 was assigned.

VIOLATION OF BAIL BOND

Charles Arthur Molnar, 55, had a warrant for violation of bail bond, and was arrested at 4:15 p.m. March 30, at Courtyard by Marriott, 100 W. Algonquin Road. Bond was set at $25,000.

BATTERY

Jonathan D. Townsend, 23, is accused of battery, criminal damage to property, criminal trespass to real property, and was arrested at 8:25 p.m. March 31, in the 2400 block of N. Kennicott Drive. Bond was set at $100 and a court date of April 20 was assigned.

INCIDENTS

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

  • A resident of the 1500 block of Woods Drive reported that between March 20 and March 22, someone attempted to cut the catalytic converter off his Honda SUV. The cost of the damage was estimated at $300.
  • The staff of a business in the 800 block of W. Central Road reported at 7:50 a.m. March 23, someone damaged the power, internet and data cords for two Pax Radiology Reading Machines. The cost of the damage was $2,068.

THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE PARTS OR ACCESSORIES

  • A resident of the 200 block of S. Pine Avenue called police to report that during the overnight hours of March 22, the catalytic converter was stolen off his 2007 Honda Accord. The cost to replace the catalytic converter is unknown at this time.
  • A resident in the 2100 block of S. Arlington Heights Road reported that during the overnight hours of March 26, the catalytic converter was stolen off his 2021 Mitsubishi Outlander. The cost to replace the catalytic converter is unknown.

THEFT

A woman called police at 8:30 a.m. March 23, to report she placed her purse in the lounge while at work in the 700 block of W. Central Road. She returned to the lounge and noticed her credit card was taken from her wallet. Other staff members reported seeing a bald male in his 60s wearing a blue coat in the lounge.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT

A person reported that between March 21 and March 23, snow removal equipment stored in the 1500 block of Shure Drive was missing. The missing equipment was described as:

  • 2015 Caterpillar 236D Skid Loader with S/N: CAT026DPSEN00587, approximately $40,000 value
  • Snow Plow Blade, unknown value
  • 3Universal Skid Loader key, replacement value unknown
RETAIL THEFT

An employee of a business in the 0-20 block of W. Rand Road reported at 2:04 p.m. March 23, a woman wearing a black coat, blue jeans, and a tan hat, stole two bottles of perfume, valued at $241. The woman left in a silver or light gray sedan.

CRIMINAL DEFACEMENT OF PROPERTY

During the overnight hours of March 24, someone spray-painted gang graffiti at locations in the 200 block of S. Brighton Place and the 800 block of E. Northwest Highway. The cost to remove the spray paint is unknown.

THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLE

A woman called police at 5:06 p.m. March 24, to report that as she was walking to her car, she was approached by two people, who asked her for directions. While she sat in the driver's seat, the two people distracted her and a third person opened the passenger door and stole the victim’s wallet. The suspects are described as:

  • Suspect 1: male, male white, medium build, approximately 30 years of age, short hair; wearing a blue hooded jacket, tan baseball hat, black pants, black shoes with white soles, and a black facemask.
  • Suspect 2: female, thin build, medium length straight brown hair; wearing a light in color fur style coat, dark-colored pants, black shoes with white soles, and a light blue facemask.
  • Suspect 3: male white, medium build, approximately 40 years of age, short hair; wearing a black leather jacket, blue pants, navy blue baseball hat, black shoes, black facemask.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO VEHICLE

A person reported at 4:30 p.m. March 24, her 2016 green Subaru Forester was parked on the street in the 4200 block of N. Walnut Avenue. When the victim went to her vehicle, she noticed a hole on the rear driver side door. A surveillance video in the area captured a white vehicle driving past and the driver throw something striking her vehicle. The cost of the damage is unknown.

VANDALISM

A resident in the 1700 block of N. Chestnut Avenue reported that during the overnight hours of March 27, his house was egged.

BURGLARY

Five suspects arrived at 3:09 a.m. March 28, to a dealership in the 1100 block of W. Dundee Road, in a black Infinity. Three gained entry in to the dealership. An on-site security guard arrived, and all left in the Infinity without taking anything.
