An Arlington Heights man is accused of battery, use of a deadly weapon; police release 4th of July information: Arlington Heights Blotter

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The following information comes from the Arlington Heights Police Department and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

ARRESTS

DRIVING ON A SUSPENDED/REVOKED LICENSE

Keith K. Church, 33, of Chicago, is accused of driving on a suspended/revoked license, and was arrested at 3:03 a.m. July 5 at S. Arlington Heights Road. He was released on bond and given an Aug. 18 court date.

DOMESTIC BATTERY

  • My Agmarsuren Enkht Set Seg, 46, of Arlington Heights, is accused of domestic battery, and was arrested at 1:48 p.m. July 5. He was given a court date of July 31.
  • Bryant A. Vargas, 27, of Arlington Heights, is accused of domestic battery, aggravated assault, use of a deadly weapon (rifle) and was arrested at 12:05 a.m. July 6. He was given a court date of July 31.
  • Tommy J. Wilson, 26, of Lombard, is accused of domestic battery, unlawful use of an electronic tracking device, and was arrested at 8:20 a.m. July 6. He was given a court date of Aug. 4.

VIOLATION OF AN ORDER OF PROTECTION

Matthew K. Berry, 28, of Midlothian, is accused of violating an order of protection, and was arrested at 12:29 p.m. July 6. He was given a court date of July 17. He was later arrested again in connection with violating an order after a served notice.

HATE CRIMES

Josiah J. Biewer, 20, of Buffalo Grove, is accused of 14 felony counts — including hate crimes — following multiple incidents of graffiti involving inflammatory and racially offensive markings. Biewer was arrested July 7 in connection with the charges. He was given a court date of July 24. Police have been investigating a number of incidents involving hateful markings spray-painted on public and private properties between May and June, with two locations hit multiple times. DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL

  • (Removed), (removed), Arlington Heights, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested at 1:23 a.m. July 7 at Thomas/Haddow. (Removed) was given a court date of Aug. 19.
  • Cesar Sanchez, 23, of the 1400 block of S. Busse, Mount Prospect, is accused of aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol, not having a driver's license/permit, and was arrested at 7:09 p.m. July 8 on S. Arlington Heights Road. He was given a court date of Aug. 13.
  • Cesar Pasillias-Gonzalez, 27, of N. Morgan Street, Chicago, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested at 11:52 p.m. July 8 at Golf and Algonquin roads. He was given a court date of Aug. 24.
  • Jorge Vazquez, 22, of N Diamond Lake Road, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested at 2:41 a.m. July 9 at Rand Road and Route 53. He was given a court date of July 31.

RETAIL THEFT

Gregory A. Mandrex, 36, of the 3000 block of Bayside Drive, Palatine, is accused of retail theft, and was arrested at 8:25 a.m. July 7 on W Algonquin Road. He was given a court date of July 24.

4TH OF JULY ENFORCEMENT CAMPAIGN

The Arlington Heights Police Department recently completed enforcement activities relating to the Illinois Department of Transportation's designated Independence Day Enforcement Campaign, according to a press release. The campaign took place from June 15 through July 6. The primary focus, according to police, was to identify and apprehend motorists who chose to drive while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, without using their safety belts, or were committing licensing, equipment or other miscellaneous Illinois Vehicle Code traffic violations.

Enforcement activities resulted in the following cumulative arrests and citations:

  • 130 — Failure to Wear Seat Belt
  • 87 — Cell Phone Use
  • 34 — Speeding
  • 40 — Registration-related Violations
  • 30 — Equipment Violations
  • 4 — Suspended Drivers Licenses
  • 1 — Driving Under the Influence
