Police said the incident in the 800 block of N. Patton Avenue occurred overnight.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The following information comes from the Arlington Heights Police Department and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

Every person arrested is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

ARRESTS

VIOLATION OF BAIL BOND

  • Christhian G. Cruz-Velazquez, 24, had a warrant for violation of bail bond, and was arrested at 11:46 p.m. Aug. 30, at Nickol Knoll Clubhouse, 3800 block of N. Kennicott Avenue. Bond was set at $40,000.
  • Ericka P. Glasper, 41, had a warrant for violation of bail bond, and was arrested at 2:15 a.m. Aug. 27, at W. Rand Road and N. Chestnut Avenue. Bail was not granted.

DRIVING ON A SUSPENDED/REVOKED LICENSE

  • Roberto Fragoso, 36, is accused of driving on a revoked license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and was arrested at 2:45 a.m. Sept. 2, at Walgreens, 0-10 block of Golf Road. Bond was set at $2,500 and a court date of Sept. 21 was assigned.
  • Destiny M. Rodriguez, 22, is accused of driving on a suspended license, and was arrested at 4:20 p.m. Aug. 27, at Algonquin and Arlington Heights roads. Bond was set at $2,500 and a court date of Oct. 11 was assigned.

Charles Kerr, 53, is accused of violation of an order of protection, and was arrested at 4:50 p.m. Sept. 1, at Thomas Middle School, 1400 block of N. Belmont Avenue. Bond was set at $10,000 and a court date of Sept. 23 was assigned.

RETAIL THEFT
Ronald R. McKee, 38, is accused of retail theft, and was arrested at 5:04 p.m. Aug. 30, at Walgreens, 200 block of E. Palatine Road. Bond was set at $100 and a court date of Sept. 27 was assigned.

FRAUD
Timothy A. O'Neil, 36, is accused of using a credit card with intent to defraud, and was arrested at 7:09 a.m. Sept. 1, at Waverly Inn, 500 block of W. Rand Road. Bond was set at $20,000 and a court date of Oct. 14 was assigned.

SUSPENDED CAR REGISTRATION
Marchello D. Pinex, 53, is accused of operating a car with a suspended registration, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and was arrested at 12:48 a.m. Aug. 27, in the 200 block of W. Rand Road. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of Sept. 27 was assigned.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE
Paul R. Slocum, 27, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of more than .08, transportation of liquor by a driver, and was arrested at 2:49 a.m. Aug. 28, at Palatine and Schoenbeck roads. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of Sept. 27 was assigned.

DOMESTIC BATTERY
Maria Bernadette Zapata, 32, is accused of domestic battery, and was arrested at 7:54 p.m. Aug. 31, in the 2200 block of S. Goebbert Road. A court date of Sept. 1 was assigned.

INCIDENTS

THEFT

  • A person called police to report that between 6:10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Aug. 29, he had locked his bicycle in a bike rack in the 2100 block of W. Northwest Highway. When he returned, his bicycle was gone. The bicycle is described as a 10-year-old Specialized Roubaix Rode bike, which is silver and black.
  • A resident in the 800 block of N. Kennicott Avenue reported that between Aug. 29 and Aug. 30, someone entered his open garage door and stole his Trek Marlin bicycle. The value of the bicycle is unknown.
  • A citizen reported that between 10:15 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Sept. 2, he had placed his belongings in a locker and secured it with a lock in the 300 block of E. Palatine Road. Upon returning, he found his lock broken and wallet missing. Inside the wallet were four credit cards, a driver’s license and $80 in cash.
  • A citizen in the 900 block of W. Dundee Road called police to report that between 4 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Sept. 3, someone stole his Beats brand headphones, valued at $200, from his gym bag in the locker room

RETAIL THEFT

  • An employee of a gas station in the 2200 block of S. Arlington Heights Road reported that between 2:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. Aug. 22, someone entered the store and took two bottles of Dr. Pepper and an unknown amount of candy and left without paying. The suspect is described as a Black male, between 18-20 years of age, 5-foot-8, thin build, wearing a pink and yellow jacket.
  • An employee of a business in the 1600 block of W. Algonquin Road called police at 9:50 p.m. Aug. 20, to report someone placed multiple cans of Red Bull and several Slim Jims in her purse and left without paying. The suspect arrived in a black Ford Edge and is described as a female with black hair, wearing a white dress and sandals.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT

A resident of the 800 block of N. Patton Avenue called police to report that during the overnight hours of Aug. 30, someone stole his unlocked 2018 Lexus from his driveway.

BURGLARY TO MOTOR VEHICLE

A citizen reported that during the overnight hours of Aug. 30, someone entered his 2015 Cadillac and stole his wallet containing four credit cards in the 700 block of N. Patton Avenue.

THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE PARTS OR ACCESSORIES

  • A citizen called police to report that during the overnight hours of Sept. 1, someone stole the catalytic converter off his 2009 Hyundai in the 1200 block of N. Luther Lane. The cost
  • to replace the catalytic converter is unknown.
  • Three citizens reported at 11:20 p.m. Aug. 31, catalytic converters were stolen off their vehicles in the 800 block of W. Northwest Highway. The suspects arrived in a dark-colored sedan. Video surveillance shows three subjects exit the vehicle, use a jack to lift the vehicles, and subsequently take each catalytic converter. The cost to replace the catalytic converters is unknown.
