FOX LAKE CELEBRATES A SUCCESSFUL VENETIAN NIGHT FUNDRAISER

With Chicago no longer holding their annual Venetian Night, Fox Lake will be the ultimate destination for Chicagoans to celebrate. Fox Lake’s Venetian Night “A Zombie Apocalypse On the Chain,” will take place on Saturday, August 1st, with a block party kicking off the night at 6pm. In its 8th year, this spectacular event is 100% produced thanks to generous donations from the Fox Lake community, its businesses and the surrounding communities, along with sponsors including the Antioch Asylum presented by Macabre Haunts and Trotter and Associates, Inc.

Fundraising for this years’ event reached its highlight on Wednesday, July 15, at Dockers Restaurant, raising over $20,000, accounting for an exciting 2/3 of the overall goal. “Everyone really enjoyed themselves at the fundraiser and we are thrilled to have raised what we did in such a short period of time,” says Christine Valenziano, Co-Chair of Venetian Night. “I couldn’t be more proud of our accomplishments, and I’m looking forward to all the great things yet to come!”

With just two weeks to go, Fox Lake’s Venetian Night committee is pulling out all stops and looking to raise the additional funds which will be used directly toward the stunning fireworks finale, enjoyed by everyone on land and water.

“It’s time to celebrate Fox Lake,” says Amy Serafin, Village of Fox Lake Parks and Recreation Coordinator. “We are confident that if community support continues at this rate, Venetian Night will reach its full potential and be an event for the books!’
