Death Investigation Of Buffalo Grove Family Complete: Police Chief
The police department released all remaining records, including 911 calls for service, from the Nov. 2022 deaths of the Kisliak family.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — Following a nearly four-month process, the Buffalo Grove Police Department announced Thursday it has completed the death investigation of the Kisliak family, who died in their home last November.
"The Lake County Major Crime Task Force and investigators in the Buffalo Grove Police Department worked diligently to complete this investigation, and the evidence collected supports our initial findings that Andrei Kisliak murdered his family and then took his own life," said Buffalo Grove Police Chief Brian Budds as his department released all remaining records, including 911 calls for service, from the Nov. 30, 2022 incident.
The bodies of Andrei Kisliak, 39, Vera Kisliak, 36, Vivian Kisliak, 6, Amilia Kisliak, 4, and Lilia Kisliak, 67, were found dead as the result of "sharp force" injuries, according to police and the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office. A family dog was also killed during the incident at 2380 Acacia Terrace.

Police had been mum on the case since releasing phone calls and other information related to the case in December. On Thursday, audio from two 911 calls, including a request for a well-being check on Vera Kisliak from a co-worker, was released. In addition, police reports from the agencies investigating the incident were also made available through the Village of Buffalo Grove's website.
Police were called to the Kisliak home at 11:12 a.m. Nov. 30, 2022, following the request from the co-worker, who said Vera had not shown up for work. In the nearly five-minute call, the co-worker told the emergency dispatcher, "you guys have definitely been out there before." The co-worker also said Vera had been at work the day prior to the murders and was always punctual about letting her employment know if she was going to miss or be late.
Upon arrival to the home, police were unable to make contact with anyone inside and forced entry into the house, where they found the adults and children dead.
Budds also encouraged the public to share resources available to assist anyone experiencing domestic violence, including but not limited to the National Domestic Violence Hotline (800-799-7233), A Safe Place (800-600-7233) and WINGS (847-221-5680) as well as the Buffalo Grove police social services (847-459-2560).
The new reports, along with previously released records, are available in the public folder located at www.vbg.org/2830acacia.
