McHenry Clinic Offering Orthopedic Care, Sports Medicine Opens

MCHENRY, IL – OrthoIllinois, a leading bone and joint health care provider in northern Illinois, has expanded access to several in-demand orthopedic specialties and walk-in injury care with the opening of its new McHenry Clinic.

The clinic, which opened its doors to local residents last week, offers rheumatology, nonoperative sports medicine, and physical therapy services. It also includes have an Injury Express clinic with walk-in access for individuals needing to be seen for urgent orthopedic injuries and pain and discomfort.

Additional X-ray and casting services will further help meet patients’ needs at one location, the company announced in a news release.

Although already opened, the McHenry Clinic will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday. The McHenry location is the second clinic that OrthoIllinois has available in McHenry County. A similar clinic opened in Algonquin in 2018.

“We are thrilled to offer residents of the McHenry area closer access to quality orthopedic care,” OrthoIllinois CEO Don Schreiner said in a news release. “Rheumatology is especially in high demand for this area, as is nonsurgical sports medicine and injury care, and rehabilitation. This new clinic will get patients the right care sooner and link them to our other subspecialized orthopedic physicians if needed.”

The McHenry Clinic, which is located at 4119 W. Shamrock Lake, Suite 103, is now accepting requests for early September rheumatology appointments with fellowship-trained specialist Dr. Jacqueline Kannan, who treats osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoporosis, lupus, and many other autoimmune disorders.

Sports medicine services offered through Dr. Pradeep Raju can help with injuries and pain affecting shoulders, hips and knees. Raju has longtime ties to the region: He grew up in Crystal Lake and his father was a well-known cardiologist in McHenry.
