• Darien Man Charged With Burglary, Attempted Trespassing (patch.com) — Darien residents and locations are at the center of several recent police cases, including a local man charged with burglary and attempted vehicle trespass and a woman arrested on drug and weapons warrants. Officers also handled a retail theft at the Cass Avenue Speedway, coordinated on a warrant for a man from Indiana, and investigated damage to a car window on Clarendon Hills Road. 
• Darien Home Invasion Suspect Upset About Grandmother's Home: Police (patch.com) — A recent home invasion on Sequoia Lane in Darien left a resident injured after a man allegedly broke in through a window and attacked him, according to police. Authorities say the suspect, from Homer Glen, referenced a dispute involving his late grandmother's former Darien home before leaving and later being arrested after a brief standoff. Home invasions remain rare in Darien, police note.
