Caucus seeks new members

District 109 Caucus is recruiting new members

DEERFIELD, Ill. (February 3, 2016) -- The District 109 Caucus seeks new members for its next session (February 2016-April 2017). For eligible District 109 residents who are interested in issues affecting our local schools, this is a great way to perform a vital civic service by participating in the process of candidate endorsement for the District 109 Board of Education.
The Caucus is responsible for identifying, interviewing, and endorsing the most qualified candidate(s) for each vacant seat on the 109 Board of Education, in addition to supporting the endorsed candidates during the election.
Caucus members accomplish this mainly through meetings over the Caucus session, generally five times, over an 18-month period that starts in February of even numbered years. Meetings are held in Deerfield in the evenings during the workweek.
For more information about the Caucus, member requirements, or to contact the Select Committee Chair, Patricia Reese, please visit the Caucus website, www.dps109caucus.org, or fill out our online form at http://goo.gl/forms/0ZAlsquxZw by Monday, February 15, 2016
