
The Hinsdale Sounds Good Choir will bring down the house at its free spring choral concert on Tuesday, May 6, at 7 pm, singing hits from iconic Broadway musicals like “Oklahoma,” “Porgy & Bess,” “The Wizard of Oz,” “West Side Story,” and “Hamilton," and more. Conductors Jonathan Miller and Daniel Segner lead the Hinsdale Sounds Good choristers through a repertoire guaranteed to satisfy any Broadway aficionado. Selections include “Oklahoma’s” glorious and exuberant anthem, “Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin;’” the dreamy, ironic “Summertime,” from George Gershwin’s “Porgy and Bess;” and the comic sunshine of Hamilton’s, “You’ll Be Back.” Join us for a delightful evening at The Community House, 415 W 8th St, Hinsdale, IL, 60521.

Sounds Good Choir is a nonprofit organization with two incredible choral programs. Good Memories is the only choir in Illinois for persons with early-stage dementia and their care partners to sing together; Sounds Good is Chicagoland's largest "no audition" choral program for adults 55+. Led by professional conductors who are experts in the training of the older adult voice, each 15-week session choir meets weekly for a fun and lively, 90-minute practice session, including vocal warmups and breathing exercises. The session concludes with a free, public concert in by choirs in Hyde Park, Gold Coast, Edgewater (The Admiral at the Lake), Evanston, Oak Park/River Forest, Wheaton/Glen Ellyn, Hinsdale, Arlington Heights, and Northbrook (summer only).
