Car Burglarized, Catalytic Converter Stolen In Downers Grove

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — A catalytic converter was cut from a car and another vehicle was burglarized in Downers Grove, according to police reports from the week of July 5.

Car Burglarized In 1200 block of 71st Street

A resident told police their unlocked car was burglarized while it was parked in a residential lot at the above address. The burglary took place sometime between 7 p.m. on July 5 and 3 p.m. on July 6. Police say $10 in change was stolen from the center console of the car.

Catalytic Converter Stolen in 2800 block of Gabriella Street

Police say a catalytic converter was cut from a car at the above address sometime between 12 a.m. and 10 a.m. on July 9. The resident noticed the catalytic converter had been stolen after they started their car and it made a loud noise.
