The Downers Grove DOLLS–Rebels Travel 10U squad has just completed the best regular season for a 10U team in the organizations history compiling a regular season record of 61 wins, 17 losses and 3 ties. The team has had far exceeded the expectations of the coaches to a point of amazement.
“I knew we would be a solid team this year, but the drive and determination that these young ladies showed is something special," said Manager Fred Gusel.

The core of this team came from last season's 9U team and they compiled a record of 36 wins and 6 losses. As 10U in 2012, the organization moved them up in classification and nearly doubled the schedule.
“I can’t believe we played over 80 games this season but when you are in the finals or semi-finals of every tournament the games add up,” said assistant coach Mike Greco.

The Rebels 10U team competed in the following tournaments with much success: Lisle Slammer A.S.A. Tournament - 3rd Place, Kankakee N.S.A. Rumble – 3rd Place, West Chicago Stars & Strikes – 1st Place, Glenview Thunderbolt A.S.A. Classic – 1st Place *, Charleston Chill N.S.A. Summer Slam – 3rd Place*, Geneva Foxes U.S.S.S.A. Firecracker – 3rd Place*, SWS Conference Travel Division – 2nd Place, Burr Ridge/Willowbrook Blast - 1st Place (*Qualified to compete in National Tournament)
The coaches for the team are Fred Gusel, Mike Greco, Barry Dixon, Bob Smith. The players are Karly Bernhard, Kelsey Bernhard, Stephanie Bielawa, Sarah Dixon, Maggie Greco, Audrey Gusel, Emma Johannes, Melissa Manzo, Annie Sobolewski, Sarah Smith, Marissa VanDeVeer.
