Downers South Plays Powder Puff

welcomed Powder Puff football to its Homecoming event line-up for the first year Tuesday night. 

Girls signed up to play on teams of about 25 girls, one for each class. The teams had reserved stadium time to practice during the past two weeks and were coached by staff members and members of the varsity football team.

The freshmen and juniors squared off first, then the sophomores and seniors. 

The winners of each, the juniors and seniors, moved on to the championship game. The seniors dominated the game and despite a late surge of momentum from the juniors, the seniors won 20-7.
