Downtown Downers Grove Farmers' Market Aims For June Opening
The annual market will also have a different format in 2020 due to coronavirus.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — The annual opening of the downtown Downers Grove Market has been delayed due to the ongoing new coronavirus crisis, but the market is tentatively looking to open in early June, according to Indian Boundary YMCA.
In the update on Facebook, Indian Boundary YMCA said "Our market committee, in conjunction with the Village of Downers Grove has been hard at work to ensure we provide a safe market for vendors, volunteers and market shoppers." They added that there will be weekly updates to keep customers in the know.

The Downtown Downers Grove Market was originally set to open the weekend of May 9 and 10. This year, the format of the market will be a little different due to the coronavirus crisis. Instead of a "social gathering," the market will be an "in-and-out market," according to Indian Boundary YMCA.
