According to Windsor Park Manor's statement, they are following "guidance from local and state health departments, along with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and the Centers for Disease Control Prevention."
These measures include, according to Windsor Park's statement,
- "Testing on all remaining skilled and assisted living residents who have not yet been
tested for COVID-19. - Individuals presenting COVID-19-like symptoms are immediately isolated and we following CDC and local and state health department guidelines when caring for those with COVID-19.
- For residents with confirmed COVID-19 cases, all efforts will be made to provide a private room with private bathroom.
- We have primary care employees dedicated to each resident. If we have multiple residents with COVID-19 or COVID-19 like symptoms, we attempt to ensure the same nurse and CNA is assigned to all COVID-19 patients.
- All employees wear masks and those caring for COVID-19 patients wear full personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure their safety and to prevent the spread of the virus to others.
- All resident rooms are disinfected twice daily and there are enhanced cleanings in all common areas within the health center.
- All employees have been trained in proper PPE usage, as well as proper infection control measures.
- Employee and contractor screenings continue to be required with daily health assessments and temperature screening; healthcare employees are screened at the beginning of their shifts and mid-shift."
