Restorative Yoga is a system of a selection of yoga poses to help heal and energize the internal organs that help keep us youthful! It is gentle, reflective, and a wonderful way to recharge your energy. Restorative poses are wonderful when you feel weak, fatigued, or stressed from your daily activities, feeling ill, or recovering from an illness.
Restorative Yoga is especially beneficial for the times before, during, and after major life events such as: death of a loved one, change of job or residence, marriage, or divorce. This practice will greatly enhance your overall health and well being!
No prior experience of yoga is necessary. In restorative yoga poses the body is supported by props such as a wall, folded blankets, rolled blankets, yoga straps or chairs. Certified Yoga Teacher, Ellen Duff, CYT, CH will use guided imagery throughout this workshop to help you deepen your awareness of yourself and recognize the subtleties of stress. Each pose is held for several minutes to encourage deep relaxation.
