Ex-Burger King Employee Accused Of Returning Bag Of Uniforms With Dog Feces, Human Feces, Urine

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — A Woodridge man has been accused of returning a bag of uniforms that also contained dog feces, human feces and urine to the Downers Grove Burger King that had recently fired him.

Jonathan Mendiola was cited with disorderly conduct in connection with the March 22 incident.

According to a police report, Mendiola came to the store at 7301 Lemont Rd. around 9:20 a.m. to return uniforms that had been placed in a garbage bag. The store's general manager told police Mendiola had been "behaving erratically" and was advised not to come back to the restaurant after he was fired.

Police say Mendiola told the manager, "Hey, I'm here to return my uniform" and put the trash bag on the counter. He is then accused of saying, "I'm gonna get you b***hes."

The manager asked police to cite Mendiola with disorderly conduct and trespass him from the restaurant property.

Police went to Mendiola's home around noon to question him about the incident. According to the police report, Mendiola confirmed he went to the restaurant, but asserted he "returned the clothes respectfully."

After the officer asked Mendiola why there was feces in the bag, he is accused of saying, "I have my reasons."
