Sex Abuse Claims Filed Against Downers Grove Teacher: Report
The lawsuits also reportedly accuse the school district of inaction regarding complaints against the former teacher.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL --- A former high school band director is facing sex abuse claims filed by two students in Downers Grove. The lawsuits, filed in DuPage County Court, allege that William Miller sexually abused two female students, now adults, between 2002 and 2006, Suburban Life reports.
The complaints accuse Miller of sexual acts including "inappropriate touching."
A third lawsuit, filed in December 2017, alleges sexual misconduct against students between 1996 and 2000.

The lawsuits were spurred on by a late 2017 Facebook post made by Jennifer Boudinot, a 1999 graduate, accusing a Downers Grove North teacher of sexual misconduct. Boudinot followed up by asking other potential victims to come forward about "what went on with teachers and students at DGN."
After Boudinot's post, Miller, who was not publicly named at the time, was placed on administrative leave. Following the accusations, Miller voluntarily resigned, according to Suburban Life.

Suburban Life reports that Community School District 99 was also named in the suits, in which the former students seek financial damages for pain and suffering. The suits reportedly allege that the district did not act on complaints lodged against Miller.
CSD 99 did not immediately respond to a request for comment Tuesday.
In late 2017 , Superintendent Hank Thiele sent an email to students, parents, and staff about "potentially inappropriate behavior on the part of a current teacher at North High." The email added that District 99 is "unable to comment publicly on any personnel matters."
