Alumni such as Edna Dominguez-Soto, has returned to IC for her 10, 15 and 20 year reunions and was excited when she received her invitation to attend the all-school reunion

“We got the news in the mail and said sure we will come and see it,” she said.

Soto, who enjoyed her time at IC, hopes to one day enroll her kids, despite living 45 minutes away.

“Our goal is for them to come here,” she said. “We live in Chicago.  We would be willing to commute it.”

Mike Kozlowski, IC graduate class of 1968, also commented on IC’s educational program.

“They have a good thing going here,” he said.  “When you come out of here you are college ready.”

Both Soto and Kozlowski commented on how homecoming was among their fondest memories during high school.

“It is months of preparation,” Soto said. “You are practicing and preparing for that week. It is a lot of fun.”

Connell remembered the days when IC would have a day off if the football team won.

“That kept the championship team going,” she said, laughing.

The homecoming dance is Saturday, Oct. 8, and an all school mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 9, to wrap up the homecoming festivities.
