Two Questioned in Wednesday Shooting in Evanston

Two people were in custody Wednesday afternoon for questioning after shots fired reports were made in the 300 block of Custer Avenue.

One of the shots hit an unoccupied parked car, Evanston Now reports.

A car matching the description provided by one witness was located in the 600 block of Oakton Street as the two in custody fled. One was found hiding in a stairwell in the 400 block of Callan Avenue and the other inside a Hull Terrace apartment.

A handgun was recovered.
