KANE COUNTY, IL — Court records show the daughter of a former Geneva doctor who the Kane County State's Attorney's Office said was recently convicted of criminal sexual abuse is also facing legal trouble. According to Kane County Chronicle, 26-year-old Alesha J. Lewis, the daughter of Mark G. Lewis, was ordered to appear before Kane County Circuit Court Judge John Barsanti on Oct. 2 surrounding a charge of indirect civil contempt of court, records show.

Alesha is accused of making "obvious nodding gestures" during her father's Sept. 26 testimony, and is also accused of intimidating or attempting to intimidate a lead prosecutor in the case on that same day, according to a petition for adjudication of indirect criminal contempt filed by Assistant Kane County State’s Attorney Julianne Gerding. Kane County Chronicle added that Judge Barsanti said he would file a civil petition against Alesha and ordered her not to have any contact with witnesses or officers of the court.

According to online court records, Barsanti signed an order on Oct. 2 for $500 bond (10 percent to apply).
