The Geneva Park District contributed $60,000 to the new park for large climbing structures.

GENEVA, IL – A ribbon cutting ceremony was held last weekend in honor of the newest addition to the Stephen D. Persinger Recreation Center, 3507 Kaneville Road, a new playground, according to a news release. The new playground was named in honor of the Geneva Park District Foundation, who played a large part in funding the project.
“The Geneva Park District Foundation made this all possible by contributing $60,000 towards the playground for the large climbing structures,” said Susan VanderVeen, Geneva Park District Board President.
“The Geneva Park District Foundation plays an essential role within the community by raising funds at events like Autumn Fair and through donation letters to pay for projects that help support and beautify the Geneva Park District parks, playgrounds, programs, and facilities,” said Sheavoun Lambillotte, Executive Director of the Geneva Park District.
