State Representative Jeff Keicher is joining with House Minority Leader Tony McCombie to host an informational Medicare 101 event in Genoa. In partnership with the Illinois Department on Aging’s Senior Health Insurance Program (SHIP), the event is designed to help local seniors better understand the complexities of Medicare. The event will take place on September 16 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at Genoa City Hall, 333 E. 1st Street in Genoa.

At the informational event, SHIP experts will offer valuable guidance on the various aspects of Medicare. Attendees will have the chance to ask questions and gain a clearer understanding of the system, helping them make more informed decisions about their healthcare coverage.

“Medicare is not one size fits all,” said State Representative Jeff Keicher. “Understanding your options to ensure you have the right coverage for your needs is just as important with Medicare as it is with traditional health insurance, and these seminars are all about ensuring seniors have the information they need to make the best choice for their coverage.”
