Cop's Kid Made Up Sex On Bodies Story To Trick Detectives Into Thinking He's Crazy: Miner

That whole thing about having sex with his “bust-down” girlfriend atop the bodies of two freshly killed men — Josh Miner says one of his alleged accomplices made it all up to trick the cops into thinking he was crazy.

During a police interrogation, Miner, 26, admitted he and sometime-girlfriend Alisa Massaro had sex on the corpses of slain Joliet men Terrance Rankins and Eric Glover. And Massaro copped to it as well when she was getting grilled, although she noted she was kind of embarrassed to admit it.

Even the fourth member of the alleged murderous “family,” 20-year-old Bethany McKee, told detectives she heard Miner and Massaro discussing the idea of getting it on atop the bodies, but said she went to another room to pass out before anything happened.

But the only reason Miner and the women confessed to the shocking, revolting accusations was because they were hungover, in the throes of withdrawal, and worn out by hours and hours of the third-degree, Miner said.

“We were up for like two, three days straight of being trashed, smoking weed and doing some coke,” Miner said.

And detectives seized on the corpse-sex story and pushed the alleged killers to confirm it because Landerman, the 21-year-old son of Joliet police Sgt. Julie Larson, concocted it in a bid to make himself look crazy, said Miner, who told of learning of the ploy during an exchange of illicit messages called “kites” in the Will County jail.

“When I was in county, I sent a kite to Adam saying, ‘What the f---? What’s going on?’ And he sent a kite back to me,” Miner recalled.

“He was like, ‘I was just trying to, uh, play crazy and everything,’” Miner said of Landerman’s message. “I was telling them every extra s--- that there was, being crazy and everything.”

Landerman figured that the “crazier he is, he’ll be able to get off on something,” Miner said.

“I don’t know exactly how he was thinking, but how is having sex on or with or whatever, with a body, ever come to a guy’s mind like that?” Miner wanted to know.

This is the fourth in a series of videos made of Miner at maximum security Menard Correctional Center, where he is doing life for killing Rankins and Glover, both 22, in January 2013. Miner said he was able to view a video of Landerman’s interrogation, and that detectives assured the cop’s son he would be taken care of because of who his mother is.

“They pretty much instantly was like, ‘Your mother’s one of us. We got your back. Don’t worry,’” Miner said.

“Your mother’s a JPD. Don’t worry. We got your back. Just tell us everything,” Miner claimed a detective said. “And then (Landerman) instantly, like, told them everything plus some.”
