Does Somebody Know Who This Man Was? Will County Coroner Seeks Your Help

JOLIET, IL — Will County Coroner Laurie Summers has taken to Facebook asking people if they can help her identify this man who has been dead for over 40 years now.

Summers notes that the man's body was found in a wooded area near Gougar Road and Route 6 on Dec. 2, 1984. She added that he's a Black male, and his identity remains unknown

"Despite extensive efforts, this individual remains unidentified. The Will County Coroner’s Office is asking for the public’s help in solving this decades-old mystery. Any information—no matter how small—could help bring closure to a family that may still be searching," the Coroner's Office said.
