Hamburgerseria Goes Delivery, CUT 158, Cork Close Temporarily
Joliet restauranteur Bill Dimitroulas has great news for loyal customers of his locally-owned Hamburgerseria restaurant.

JOLIET, IL — One of Joliet's most well-liked sit-down family restaurants, Hamburgerseria Burger Restaurant at 1015 Essington Road, is doing something it has never done before. In wake of concerns about the spread of the new coronavirus across Illinois, Hamburgerseria will temporarily switch over to a delivery-only restaurant and also offer carryout on Tuesday.
As of March 17, customers can order their meals online or place their order over the phone by calling the restaurant at 815-725-2883.
Either way, Hamburgerseria will be preparing the food and making the deliveries. Because Hamburgerseria has so many loyal customers, owner Bill Dimitroulas told Patch, he decided to keep Hamburgerseria open during the governor's shutdown of all sit-down restaurants and bars during these next two weeks.

"We never used to have delivery," the owner told Joliet Patch Monday night.
He said that Hamburgerseria plans to do deliveries within a 7-mile radius; that's good news for residents of Joliet, Shorewood, Plainfield, Rockdale and Crest Hill.

On the other hand, two of Dimitroulas' other notable businesses in Joliet: CUT 158 Chophouse in downtown Joliet, a block up the street from the Rialto Square Theatre, and Cork Wine Bar, also on Essington Road, closer to the Joliet Fire Department's Station 8, are being temporarily closed until the end of March because of Gov. J.B. Pritzker's directive, Dimitroulas said.
"It's not our choice, but it's for everyone's safety," he said, referring to CUT 158 Chophouse and the Cork Wine Bar not being open for the next two weeks.
Like thousands of other Illinois restaurant owners, the owner of Hamburgerseria is now trying to think out of the box during these next couple weeks of difficult times for many small businesses.
Dimitroulas hopes that people in the Joliet and Plainfield area rally around his restaurant and help keep business strong.
Hamburgerseria has more than 6,000 Facebook likes and followers.
"At Hamburgerseria, we strive to recover the tradition of gourmet burgers in Joliet. In addition to our variety of burgers, we also offer delicious sandwiches, assorted snacks, hot coffee/tea and homemade desserts," its website proclaims.
