Shorewood Sweater Thief Faces More Shoplifting Charges
Alexandria Cummings now faces a felony charge accusing her of shoplifting at Kohl's last September.

JOLIET, IL - Last year, Joliet Police officers hauled off Alexandria Cummings to the Will County Jail after the Shorewood resident was caught shoplifting several sweaters inside Carson's at the Louis Joliet Mall. Cummings was also charged last year with shoplifting at the Kohl's store in Romeoville on South Weber Road. She pleaded guilty to both crimes last December. Last week, the Will County State's Attorney's Office filed a felony shoplifting charge against the 36-year-old woman.
According to her latest criminal complaint, Cummings shoplifted clothing at the Kohl's store in Joliet on Route 59. The complaint states that the value of the merchandise Cummings allegedly store exceeded $300.
Cummings, who lives in the 1100 block of Geneva Street, was taken into custody last Wednesday, March 7. Her bail was set at $50,000. A week later, she remains in custody.
