36 Graduate From Lake Forest Country Day School
Newest alumni will be represented all over the world next year.
Lake Forest Country Day School celebrated its 126th closing exercises on Thursday, honoring 36 eighth grade graduates who will matriculate at 16 different schools next year.
The class of 2015 will be spread around the world, with some attending institutions in Utah, Ohio, Indiana, Massachusetts and New Hampshire in the United States and one enrolling in the American International School in Hong Kong.

During Thursday’s ceremony, “the words and thoughts of the administration, faculty and student speakers captured the essence of what an education at LFCDS is all about,” according to a Friday news release. “Words speaking to inspired teaching, academic rigor, attention to individual needs, and a commitment to responsible citizenship were spoken.
These same values infuse every aspect of life at LFCDS and define the school’s mission of producing students of strong character with a passion for learning. These same words also spoke to the school’s core values: excellence, partnership, responsibility, participation and diversity.”

Graduates Kimberly Stafford and Charlie Shattock were selected by their peers to chronicle their individual, as well as collective, experiences at LFCDS just before closing remarks were made from the Head of the Upper School.
