Here are the latest readership figures. Lemont Patch has come a long way, and you're a big reason why.

Thank you, Lemont Patch readers, for taking time in your busy days to spend a few moments with Patch. We appreciate your visits and contributions, and we want you to know we take nothing for granted here. Thank you for helping us to grow and thrive this year.

Eight years ago, on Sept. 10, 2010, Lemont Patch launched. We've come a long way, and you're a big reason why.

In August, Lemont Patch recorded 89,732 visitors. For a village of 21,941 people, that's a lot of readers! Our visitors hail from Lemont, for sure, but many residents of neighboring towns also land on Lemont Patch from time to time, too. That figure — compiled and verified through Google Analytics — includes readers on desktop, laptop, tablet, mobile and our app, and our visitors often access Patch on several devices over the month.

Our readers also love Lemont Patch's calendar of events — more than 1,700 visits were made to our calendar in August. Coming up soon on the calendar is a skate contest at the Lemont Park District, and a wine-tasting fundraiser at Franciscan Village. Sounds like a lot of fun in Lemont this month!

What else is new? So far this year, 302 new email subscribers have joined Lemont Patch, boosting our email list to 2,581 daily subscribers. (Wait? You don't get our email? Click here and we'll hook you up.) And 457 Lemont lovers joined our Facebook page this year, too. We're almost at 6,000 fans! If you haven't liked our page yet, please give it a try. If you're already on the page, please share with a friend. Reaching 6,000 fans in September would be a huge milestone for us.
