Curbside Leaf Collection Resumes In Naperville For 2026 Season (patch.com) — Naperville residents will see curbside leaf collection return starting Oct. 19, with three two-week pickup cycles scheduled through mid-November. Neighbors are reminded to rake leaves to the curb by 6 a.m., avoid blocking storm drains, and use yard waste stickers on bagged leaves before Nov. 2, with disposal shifting to the regular yard waste program afterward.

Bomb Threat At Naperville Central Delays Dismissal Monday (patch.com) — Naperville Central High School briefly went into Hold in Place and Secure Building modes Monday afternoon after a bomb threat targeting the school's exterior was phoned in. Naperville police quickly responded, found no immediate danger, and normal operations resumed before dismissal, with District 203 officials emphasizing student safety and thanking families for their patience.
   

3. Naperville home declared 'uninhabitable' after hit by car (nctv17.org) — Naperville fire officials say a home on the 3000 block of Crystal Rock Road is now uninhabitable after a car struck the house and sparked a fire Tuesday afternoon. Everyone inside the vehicle and home escaped safely, but damage is estimated at $500,000 as investigators work to determine what caused the blaze.
   

4. IKEA to relocate Bolingbrook store to Block 59 in Naperville (nctv17.org) — IKEA plans to move its Bolingbrook store to a smaller, 'small-format' location at Westridge Court and Block 59 in Naperville, slated to open in 2027. City officials say the new store should boost sales tax revenue, support city services, and add another major draw to one of Naperville's busiest shopping and gathering areas.
   

5. ISKCON Naperville Celebrates Janmashtami with Sacred Tulabharam (hiindia.com) — ISKCON Naperville's Radha Shyamasundar Temple recently drew hundreds to its second annual Janmashtami Tulabharam fundraiser, supporting construction of a permanent spiritual home for the community. Held in Willowbrook, the celebration mixed devotional music, guest speakers, and generous pledges that pushed donations toward $600,000 to pay down debt and fund the temple's next building phases.
