• Suspects In Verizon Store Armed Robbery In Custody: New Lenox PD (patch.com) — An armed robbery at the Verizon store on East Lincoln Highway in New Lenox ended with multiple suspects in custody after police used Flock cameras and regional cooperation to track them to Chicago. Officers say 74 phones were stolen, but the suspects are now being brought back to New Lenox as detectives work with county prosecutors on charges.
   

• No Armed Robbery At Burger King In New Lenox Sunday: Police (patch.com) — New Lenox police are reassuring residents there was no armed robbery at the local Burger King on Sunday, despite social media and scanner chatter. Officers say they responded to a delayed-report road rage incident where someone mentioned a firearm, but no gun was seen, no robbery occurred, and there was never a broader threat to the community.
   

• Will County, Illinois Cold Case: New Evidence Released on 50th Anniversary of Teen's 1976 Bridge Homicide (newsbreak.com) — A 50-year-old homicide under the I-80 bridge in New Lenox Township is back in the spotlight as Will County detectives release long-overlooked witness details and ask for new tips. Investigators hope residents who lived in New Lenox or Downers Grove in 1976 might remember something about a man, a vehicle, or a violent encounter that could finally solve Jennifer Springman's killing.
