NORTHBROOK, IL — The following information comes from the Northbrook Police Department and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.

ARRESTS

Anatoly Spivak, 37, of the 1800 block of Mission Hills Road, Northbrook, is accused of having a suspended driver's license, no insurance, failure to reduce speed, and was arrested at 8:31 a.m. June 25 in the 800 block of Meadow Road. Officers responded to the area regarding a traffic accident involving a parked vehicle. He was given a $2,000 bond and a court date of July 24.

A resident in the 200 block of Second Street reported that someone entered their unlocked car during the overnight hours of June 20 and removed a purse.

A resident in the 800 block of Downing Street called police at 3:55 p.m. June 20 that a man claiming to be from the water department came to their door. The person claimed that they were at the location to check the meter and for a water problem. The resident stated that the man had him go to other rooms in the residence, and turn on the water and tap on the faucets. After several minutes, the resident did not hear from the man and when they checked for him, they learned that the man had left the residence. The resident then found that several jewelry boxes had been removed from two bedrooms.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

A person reported at 6:11 p.m. June 23 that while driving in the area of Dundee and Sanders an unknown person threw a water bottle out of a passing car, which struck the hood of their car.
