Sharyn C. Mann, 43, of Palatine, was charged with improper lane usage and DUI after a traffic stop in the 100 block of South Plum Grove Road at 11:41 p.m.

Ferdinand A. Gustaffon, 42, of Arlington Heights, was charged with failure to signal when required and DUI after a traffic stop at Cedar Street and Helen Road at 2:35 a.m.

May 31, 2012

Simon M. Muller, 20, of Streamwood, was charged with misdemeanor retail theft after taking black gym shoes valued at $13, a black backpack valued at $29.97 and black slip on shoes valued at $9 from Wal-Mart, 1555 N. Rand Road, after leaving the store without paying between 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

A 2001 Toyota Solara was burglarized sometime between May 31 at 8 p.m. and June 1 at 7:31 a.m. in the 1000 block of North Sterling Avenue. The vehicle was unlocked. Taken was a Garmin GPS valued at $200 and iPhone headphones valued at $30.

A 2002 Mercedes ML500 was burglarized sometime between May 31 at 6 p.m. and June 3 at 10 a.m. in the 1000 block of North Deer Avenue. The vehicle was unlocked. Taken was a Garmin GPS valued at $279.

Krzysztof Rapacz, 25, of Carpentersville, was charged with misdemeanor retail theft after taking a four-pack of Gillette razors valued at $13.97 from Wal-Mart, 1555 N. Rand Road, after leaving the store without paying between 2 p.m. and 2:58 p.m.
