Unexplained Vandalism Spree Hits Romeoville
Vandals cause thousands of dollars worth of damage to vehicles and property between March 18 and March 30, cops say.

Vandals caused thousands of dollars’ worth of damage throughout Romeoville using a variety of mediums to express themselves including markers, spray paint and a BB gun.
Markers were used to deface doors, a vehicle and a gas meter at homes in the 400 block of Berkshire Avenue and the 300 block of Eaton sometime before 8:30 a.m. March 30.
BB-gun toting vandals shot up numerous vehicles on March 29 and March 22, resulting in more than $11,000 in damages.

Incidents were reported in the 200 block of Bayles, 700 block of Bayles, 700 block of Zinnia, 700 block of Echo, 1600 block of Fiddyment, 1600 block of Peter and 200 block of Hayes on March 29.
Vehicles were also found with BB gun damage March 22 in the 300 block of Hemlock, 300 block of Montrose, 700 block of Gavin, 0-100 block of Belmont, 300 block of Fremont, 500 block of Montrose, 400 block of Dalhart, 500 block of Camden, 800 block of Oakton, 100 block of Gorman, 400 block of Gainsborough and 1400 block of Larkspur.

Police said that a building was spray painted with graffiti in the 300 block of Eaton sometime before 2:04 a.m. March 27. The building owner said it would cost $1,000 to remove the graffiti.
Over in the 200 block of Haller, homeowners reported that their garage door was defaced with a marker sometime before 9:59 a.m. March 21. The estimated damage is $100.
Police investigated a wooden fence spray painted with graffiti in the 400 block of Montrose sometime before 3:52 p.m. March 20.
