Whole Foods To Open In Former Blue Goose
The national grocery plans to open its eighth suburban store in St. Charles.

ST. CHARLES, IL — Whole Foods Market is coming to St. Charles.
Blue Goose Market President and CEO Paul Lencioni said the deal with Whole Foods closed Thursday morning and would be moving into his former grocery store at 300 S. 2nd St., according to Shaw Media Network.
"The vast majority of the proceeds are all going to pay off the bank and settle the bank note and expenses," Lencioni said.

In March 2022, the Blue Goose closed its doors for good. The store first opened in 1928.
"The Blue Goose has given St. Charles everything it has to give," Lencioni said in a video message posted on Facebook prior to the grocery store's closing last year.

Whole Foods currently has seven grocery stores in the Chicago area, including locations in Deerfield, Northbrook, Park Ridge, Elmhurst, Schaumburg, Vernon Hills and Kildeer.
