Suspicious Men Who Gave Teacher 'Harsh Glare' While Repeatedly Driving Past Memorial School Actually Just Live Around There: Principal
The men kept driving around the school because they were trying out a truck they had repaired, the principal said.

The two men a Memorial Elementary School teacher reported to police for repeatedly driving by and shooting her a “harsh glare” actually just live around there, the principal said.
“It turned out they were neighbors,” Memorial Elementary Principal Mike Donovan said of the men, who live next-door to the school.
A 34-year-old teacher told police she noticed an “older model green Chevrolet sports utility vehicle with oversized tires, a high ‘jacked up’ suspension, and a makeshift bumper driving slowly past the school.”

Two men who appeared to be in their 20s were in the SUV, police said, and the teacher recalled how the “vehicle drove slowly past the school three times within ten minutes.”
“The first time the vehicle drove past the school the vehicle drove extremely slow and the occupants were looking out their windows,” police said. “The second time the vehicle drove past the school the vehicle came to a complete stop on 179th Street. The third time the vehicle drove past the school the occupants gave (the teacher) a ‘harsh glare.’”

The men repeatedly drove past the school—and their own home—because they had been working on the truck and wanted to try it out, Donovan said.
“They were working on the car and they were driving it back and forth to make sure it was working properly,” he said.
He also noted the men have “lots of vehicles” on their property.
While the two men were in fact not driving around the school with bad intent, Donovan said the teacher “did the right thing” by informing the police of her suspicions.
