Arrests For Identity Theft, Trespassing: Winnetka-Glencoe Blotter
Incidents and arrests from the Glencoe, Northfield and Winnetka police blotters from Jan. 3 to Jan. 9.

WINNETKA, IL — The following information comes from the Glencoe, Winnetka and Northfield police departments as a record of police activity and incidents reported to the police. Criminal charges represent merely accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Anyone arrested is innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
WINNETKA
INCIDENTS
CAR BURGLARIES
Someone rummaged through the contents of three unlocked cars parked in the 1200 block of Ash Street between about 5 p.m. on Dec. 31 and 11 a.m. on Jan. 1. Nothing was reported stolen.
THEFT
A resident in the 900 block of Green Bay Road reported on Jan. 4 that someone had stolen cash from a home and also damaged four posters and a door-mounted basketball hoop for a loss of $830.

ARRESTS
Elizabeth E. Dusevicius, 28, of the 8700 block of Willow Road, Hickory Hills, was arrested shortly after 8 a.m. on Dec. 31 at the Winnetka Police Department and charged with identity theft. Her arrest resulted from an investigation opened on the afternoon of Dec. 23 where a Walnut Street resident reported someone had used their identity to open up various credit card accounts, a self storage account and spend money on a Starbucks card.
A 47-year-old Chicago man was arrested around 4 a.m. on Jan. 7 and charged with driving with a suspended license in the 900 block of Green Bay Road. He was also ticketed with speeding.

GLENCOE
INCIDENTS
IDENTITY THEFT
A Mayfield Lane resident reported around 3:43 p.m. on Jan. 7 that someone had gained access to their account and fraudulently withdrawn just over $135.
ARRESTS
A 33-year-old Des Plaines man was arrested for misdemeanor speeding around 4:49 a.m. on Jan. 2 in the area of Dundee Road and the Edens Expressway and charged with misdemeanor excessive speeding.
A 23-year-old Northfield man was arrested around 12:40 a.m. on Jan. 8 and charged with driving without a valid license and with an expired registration following a traffic stop in the area of Dundee Road and the Edens Expressway.
A 53-year-old Park City man was arrested around 5:45 a.m. on Jan. 8 and charged with driving without a valid license following a traffic stop in the area of Bluff Street and Lincoln Avenue. He was also ticketed for failure to dim headlights when required.
NORTHFIELD
INCIDENTS
WINNETKA-LICENSED SOLICITOR
Police were called to the 1600 block of Mount Pleasant Street around 5:37 p.m. on Jan. 4 for a report of an unregistered door-to-door solicitor. When police tracked down the solicitor, he showed police a valid Village of Winnetka soliciting permit and explained he was unaware he had crossed into Northfield village limits. Police explained how he could go about getting a permit to solicit in Northfield.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
A Winnetka resident visited the Northfield Police Department shortly before noon on Jan. 5 to reported that their vehicle had received numerous scratches while being serviced at Fields Volvo in the 700 block of West Frontage Road between Jan. 2 and Jan. 3.
COMPUTER FRAUD
A resident of the 200 block of Meadowbrook Drive reported around 6:22 p.m. on Jan. 5 that they had gotten a call from someone purporting to be affiliated with Apple customer service claiming that they had been locked out of their computer and demanding $3,000 worth of gift cards to unlock it. The resident provided the payment over the phone and police opened an investigation.
ARRESTS
A 26-year-old Chicago man was arrested around 3:45 p.m. on Jan. 2 following a traffic stop in the area of Willow and South Happ roads and charged with driving with a suspended license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and no valid registration. He was also ticketed for a defective windshield.
