Green Bay Road Resurfacing Begins Monday

Work will take place on stretch between Park Avenue and Lake Cook Road in June and July.

The resurfacing of a 1.6 mile trek of Green Bay Road in the village of Glencoe will start Monday and last through the end of July.

Peter Baker & Sons, a Lake Bluff firm, has been contracted to work on the improvement project - which includes the milling and resurfacing of the road from Park Avenue to Lake Cook Road - at a cost of $1.14 million to the village.

A contract for the maintenance awarded to Peter Baker & Sons of Lake Bluff. This $1.14 million improvement project includes the milling and resurfacing of 1.6 miles of Green Bay Road from Park Avenue to Lake Cook Road.

The scope of work for this improvement will also include base patching, some spot curb replacement and the construction of a new landscaped median just north of Park Avenue.

Green Bay Road will remain open to traffic during construction; however, bicyclists are encouraged to monitor conditions and utilize alternate routes.
