Winnetka, Glencoe, Northfield police blotters for May 10 - May 16

WINNETKA, IL — The following information comes from the Glencoe, Winnetka and Northfield police departments as a record of police activity and incidents reported to the police. Anyone arrested is innocent unless proven guilty. Criminal charges represent merely accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced.
WINNETKA
INCIDENTS
BURGLARY
Someone damaged a door to a cafe area sometime between noon and 6 p.m. on May 6 in the 1300 block of Oak Street, causing $200 in damages and stealing $120 worth of beverages.

IDENTITY THEFT
A Locust Road resident reported on the evening of May 7 that someone had made an unauthorized purchase of $189.23 on their credit card sometime after May 3.
THEFT
Someone stole a coat with car and house keys inside from an unsecured locker room at a business in the 800 block of Green Bay Road sometime between 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. on May 9 for a reported loss of $100.

ARRESTS
A 51-year-old Waukegan man was arrested shortly after 10 p.m. on May 10 and charged with driving with a suspended license following a traffic stop in the 600 block of Sheridan Road. He was also ticketed for a lack of a license plate light.
GLENCOE
INCIDENTS
CRIMINAL DAMAGE/THEFT
It was reported at 11:07 a.m. on May 10 that someone had stolen and damaged a street sign in the area of Jackson Avenue and Randolph Street.
IDENTITY THEFT
A Madison Avenue resident reported on the afternoon of May 10 that someone had used a credit card with their identity.
HOME BURGLARY
A resident in the 200 block of Sheridan Road reported at 8:20 p.m. on May 11 that someone broke into their home and burglarized it.
ARRESTS/CITATIONS
Marcos Dinas Pena, 31, of the 400 block of Clifton Street in Round Lake Park, was arrested around 2 a.m. on May 10 and charged with driving under the influence following a traffic stop near the intersection of Green Bay and Maple Hill roads. He was also cited of no rear registration plate light.
A 32-year-old Waukegan man was arrested at 12:22 p.m. on May 15 and charged with driving with a suspended license and expired registration near the intersection of Green Bay Road and Harbor Street. He was also cited for possession of under 10 grams of cannabis.
A 32-year-old Lemont woman was pulled over at 4:53 p.m. on Dundee Road and Pebblewood Drive and cited for possession of cannabis. She received a written warning regarding an expired registration violation.
NORTHFIELD
INCIDENTS
IDENTITY THEFT/UNLAWFUL USE OF A CREDIT CARD
A Northfield Square resident reported on the night of May 10 that someone had made three unauthorized withdrawals for a total of more than $600 from a bank account using their debit card number.
BURGLARY
Someone stole a wallet with various identification and debit cards from a business in the 0-100 block of Northfield Plaza, police were told at 1:48 p.m. on May 11.
THEFT
Someone took a a green refuse bin from a home in the 200 block of West Frontage Road, a resident reported at 3:05 p.m. on May 14.
ARRESTS/CITATIONS
A 51-year-old Highland Park man was arrested at 10:38 a.m. on May 9 near the intersection of Central Avenue and Willow Road and charged with driving with a suspended drivers license. He was also cited for use of an electronic device while driving.
Constantino Gasca-Miranda, 47, of the 6900 block of North Wolcott Avenue in Chicago, turned himself in to the Northfield Police Department at 2:03 p.m. on May 16 in connection with an investigation into a hit-and-run traffic crash that took place on May 7 near the intersection of Waukegan and Westleigh in Northfield. Gasca-Miranda was cited for leaving the scene of an accident, disobeying a traffic signal and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
